Default Harness Belt Install Question

HMS has recommended that I install the inside lap belt under the existing OEM female connection point. As this is mounted to the seat frame it appears difficult to get to. I have reviewed the related threads and see that many have suggested that this is a bad idea. However, should I go this way, what is involved to remove the seat to get at this bolt?

there are 4 bolts holding the seat to the floor of your car... one at each corner... remove those

then, unplug the connectors under the seat and pull the harness loose from the seat frame

take the seat out

or... you can skip the undo-the-harness part and just tilt the seat over on it's side so you can get to the plastic cover that is covering the seatblet anchor. There's one screw and two (maybe three) clips that hold on the cover. Remove the cover and you will have access to the bolt holding the anchor in place.

Cheers,

i heard that you arent supposed to mount the belts to the seat, you are supposed to moun them to the car itself, that way if the bolts on the seat give, your harnesses dont give automatically. The guy i talked to told me that i should install Eye bolts and connect the lap and sub belts from there.
