why must the z take a back seat in nissan
is it just me or is anyone else thinking why the z has to take a back seat to the skyline?i love skylines just as much as the next guy but i'm a z fan and i'm thinking the z got the hole sports car party started back in 69.The z is the face of nissan ,the z is an icon, so why do they wait until 2007 to bring out the the real deal ,the car where nissan gets serious where they even hire lotus to custum build there new suspension for the new GTR...am i missing something here?

The Z may have started Nissan's sports car evolution, but the Skyline is a much superior car in about every area and carried Nissan throughout the JGTC much better than the Z ever did. The only thing I don't like about the Skyline is the fact that it isn't available in the US. If it were, I wouldn't have looked any further.

The concept of Nissan:
Z = design for comfortable - care about the looks, details, interior, sound system...etc
GTR = design for hardcore - don't care anything except engine, driveline and handling.
They are totally difference type of toy

The Camry is the # car for Toyota. Z in the past was never a money maker for Nissan. We are lucky enough that there are some engineers at Nissan willing to stick out their neck and put their careers on the line for the Z. Otherwise it never would have come back......

Backseat?? I can't think of any other Nissan in history... (or any other car for that matter) that is capable of being competitive in:
JGTC 300
JGTC 500
Grand Am Cup (heheh)
2WD Rally
D1 GP
among other things.
And still be a nice everyday car to haul our ***** around.
