Default Problems off the line

I have a track edition z with the 18" rims. When i go to launch the car it peels out, then goes, Even when i shift into second gear, that slip light comes on. Seems like the car is great from third gear and up. Do I need better rear tires or bigger rims. Or should i upgrade the rear slip??

Thanks

I don't understand what you're trying to do. You're trying to launch, but you don't want to spin the wheels? It's more a matter of driver skill rather than needing new rear tires. Better tires will result in better traction, making it even harder for you to avoid wheel spin at launch if you launch the exact same way as you do with your Potenzas. I'm not an expert at these low wheel spin launches since I don't drag race, but I think I remember someone posting that you need to launch between 2000-2200 rpms for the "perfect launch." Good luck!

this car isnt a civic, it doesnt take much effort to get the wheels to spin...

it is harder to get a good fast launch without much wheels spin with this car especially when you have light wheels like the track ray's and not so grabby tires...

it just takes some throttle control and practice...
