DAMN!!!!

I was driving on the highway, accelerating kinda hard, and slammed it into 2nd again from 3rd. As you can guess, my revs jumped up to around 7500 rpms, and my rear end bogged. I quickly put it in neutral as soon as i could. Car seems to be running fine, but i dont want to overlook anything and have it screw me over later. I stopped at a parking lot and revved the car a few times to see if i can hear any weird noises, or to see if any smoke is comin out the exhaust. sounds fine. Anyone have any input? Thx

ive done it from the top of 3rd gear into 2nd a few times after i first got my z...

no problems yet... 46000 miles

 

I'm a mechanical engineer and I've done the same thing to mine a couple times.... it's fine.

 

....OUCH....


I hope it never happens to me, I would feel so bad for my car! lol

This must happen to everyone...I did the same thing 3 days ago and posted the same sort of question to calm my nerves. Maybe it's good for the car since everyone does it :-p

 

I hit 2nd instead of 4th the other day, but I was able to hit the clutch again before it got over 6,000 RPM's...

It can be scary, but the Z can take it.
