Let me know what ya think:

I havn't decided what to do yet, but I am glad to have those ugly plastic horizontal bars gone.

Before........

And After..........

It sure did take some nut to take a dremel to my front bumper... but I think it cleaned up the look nicely. Im thinking about doing a shiny black (clearcoated heavily) medium sized mesh to fit flush with the backing of the bumper.

I kind of like that, but the black mesh sounds better. But none of those sound as good as a beefy intercooler. Props for trying something different.

Agreed That is the plan, in the future. Im thinkin of goin with the Stillen setup. They use some real quality SC's. Supposedly the same they strap onto the Kompressor/AMG engines (MB)

Looks sorta naked

Naked is always good

So for now, the black mesh option will probably be installed. I would like to use a mesh style like on the previous model Sentra SER-Spec V's... anyone know where I can get a stock of that mesh??

The Sentra mesh is too small to fit in there, i think.

Oh well, the search continues - and I am not Home Depot-ing it!!

If it did'nt have those pipes and stuff in there It'd look better, to me looks like some exposed wall with the plumbing hanging out, but having said that better than the oem grill!

like you said, i think a mesh would look sweet till you save up for the ic.

i would just suggest that you do it soon because everything is so vulnerable to rocks and stuff right now.

of course, please post pics after you do your mod. good luck.

That sounds too hard for me to do... someone else step in please! heh

I gotta find out where the EVO / Spec V guys get their stock OEM grill made from. Thats the exact color and size that Im lookin for.

There has to be a stock sheet of that stuff lying in a fabrication plant somewhere... how the hell could I get a sheet??
