top speed
Fastest i've gone is about 115 mph or so. Call me a wuss but whenever I start driving in excess of 100mph I start to imagine what would happen if, just for example, one of my tires blew a hole or something.

I am new here...
We went on a drive and I was at 187. The car behind me was a 350Z and he reported 164.
This is one of the reasons I joined the forum. I'm very impressed w/ the Z and am interested in picking one up now.
(PS... This was in West Texas on one of the most deserted roads you've ever seen. It was still dumb, but less dumb than near any urban areas.)

first off all you guys are talking about your car not making any noises at speed. mine starts to make this wistling sound. so you guys dont get the wistle sound. is the wistle sound bad. i hope to some day own a car that will do 200+ i want to be i the 200club so bad.
i dont blame ya at all scott. if i had a 996turbo, which one day i definitely hope to own - though maybe not a 996 since ive got a long ways to go - i will probably not be able to stop myself from at least once trying to get up to those speeds.

hehe. It is hard to stop with these cars. You're right about that! I don't want to thread hi-jack (especially since I'm new here), but since asked... here's a pic or 3.

PS. I hope to have a 350Z in my garage as well in the near future, but waiting for the right deal. 350Z's are super sweet. I stare at them as much as I do Porsches.

you could just put in a lower ratio differential; that will both improve your 0-60 time and lower your top speed
I really don't have the need for top speed any more. I prefer 0-80. If I could, I would trade my 120-159mph top end of the Z for a quick 3.2 sec romp to 60.
