Brickyard resale value higher than others?
Not really or by just a few hundred more?
They discontinued the old blue color for the G35. It was also the least produced. Just wondering if there is a trend.

less brickyards out there means there was less demand for that color as compared to lets say silver. so yes it might be more rare and when it comes time to sell, and you will have less brickyards on the market. but you will also have less people wanting to buy a used brickyard. if the demand was not there in the first place when the color was available why would it be there now or in the future. so i say if you can find someone that wants to buy a used brickyard you might be able to ask for little abit more. but you might have a hard time finding someone that is looking for that color.
I think they made a mistake by abandoning Brickyard. I suspect they did so partly because there probably weren't a lot of preorders for it, and that was probably because people didn't know what it would look like in the flesh. Nissan obviously didn't voluntarily produce many because you seldom saw them at most dealerships. How could they have sold very many?
I think it will have a premium, but it is questionable how much.

I also read in another thread that BY is a harder color to match, than say SS, CS, or DB. Maybe it cost them more to produce in BY? With the limited production, it probably will be more rare, but being that cars can be painted at any given time, it may not resale for much more. I personally wanted one, but I think I'll have to settle my SS or repaint later.
typically silver, black , and whit ecars have the higher resale values beacuse thats what is more popular. id say that the resale value for the brick would be lower than the others. the reason it was discontinued was beacuse nobody bought it in the first place.
on edmunds.com it has adjustments for values based on color. and im sure brickyard would show LESS value than say silver.

Yeah, I don't see it being worth any more than another color...that's for sure...at least for the near future.
The liquid aluminum might grab some extra $$...but most people probably won't know the difference between it and silver anyhow...I think the Z's resale will have much more to do with what trim level, than paint code. (obviously)

Brickyards did not sell well because it was/is a unique color (and therefore has to be seen) & Nissan did not promote it.
I latched onto it because I had a burgundy colored Cougar in the 70s. But before tracking a Brick down I wanted to see one in person. Ended up driving 50 miles to see a Brick in person.
As for future value, I doubt if it will add much if any value but might lead to a quicker sale. Since I hang on to cars forever & luv my Brick, it makes no difference to me.

Actually, when you talk about older more valuable cars, does the color ever come into play??? I don't think any one color will be more valuable than another. Plus you have to consider that if something wasn't that popular now why should it be any more popular in 5, 10, 20 years?
A car kept in great condition regardless of color will probably be worth more or be more sellable later on.

I would pay 500-1000$ more for a brickyard if I were to re-buy. It's the only color my girlfriend approved of but they only had it in Base, not Touring and I couldn't wait...Silverstone is what i ended up with.
