Do your change just before storage and it'll be ready to roar when it comes out!!!
(that way any nasties in the oil won't spend all winter settling)

Anyway, I'm a Clevelander as well and I will be doing what kcobean does. I'll drive it on the nice days & keep her parked on the $hitty days. It's an el nino year, so we are suppose to have a mild winter (keeping fingers crossed). I can't take many more of these Cleveland winters.
Hey Jovasi - There's a few Z's getting together for a little run next Saturday (25th). I live on the east side and will probably go. If interested, there's more details here:

btw: El Nino, huh? Damn I hope we have a mild one.

I received a PM about it, unfortunately I won't be able to make it. Hope you guys have fun. I'll make one of those runs eventually.

Yes, but when your quarter-mile time equals your shore-to-shore time, how much fun can the car be? .....Just kidding. A buddy of mine just got back from Hawaii and he said he didn't want to come back.

I disagree. My soon-to-be-supercharged Z roadster was clearly never intended by me to be driven in the winter. It will sit warm and cozy in the garage all winter long under a cover. Oh...it may come out on the occasional day when the roads are dry and the weather sunny. It'll also get a few more "bits" put on over the winter to make the arrival of spring that much more exciting.

I wouldn't drive my Z in the winter either. End of October it goes into the warm garage and hybernates until spring. I live in the mountains in central Idaho and we can get a foot of snow in no time, so why risk it. That's why I have a 4X4 Expedition.

Default Don't Forget the Gas Additive

I live in Cleveland and, YES, I'm another one who stores my Z. I agree with those who choose to put Blizzaks on their Z and drive it. My concerns aren't so much for the snow but for the crazy aholes out their who DON 'T know how to drive on snow & ice. I don't take those chances and store my baby in a nice heated garage allowing me to wax-on, wax-off all winter.

Don't forget to add the gas additive so that the gas doesn't turn on you.

Either way, it's not winter yet, so let's all chill-out and enjoy our Z's as long as we can.

I`m in Vancouver, it rarely if ever snows were I am, but I`m still storing my Z. It pretty much rains steady from end of September to March with the odd nice couple of days, still gets pretty cold though.
My last day of driving was Sept.12. I`m trying to forget about her sitting in the garage now.
I washed all the wax off, and am ordering the Zaino kit and am looking over many after market websites deciding what mods I want to do in the spring.
It`s going to be a long six months! :-(

Yes- DO forget the gas additive!!!! That stuff is for your lawnmower, not your Z!!!! You should top off the tank and the gas will suffer no ill effects from 4-5 months of storage. If you plan to store longer than that, there is a whole different procedure.

I don`t have a prolblem with storing my Z for the Winter, makes good scence, the Z has a very low clearance (3.5 or so). Let`s face it, it`s not a snow sled. This is why I have a 4X4.
Winters are very nasty out here on this part of the country, no way I am going to drive my car with all that salt on the road.
Yeah I thread doing it but it gives me something to look forward to in Spring time. And besides I get to do some mods during Winter.

lots of rustangs, 300's, eclipse's and G-35's. you're right on the gas prices though. We've always had high gas prices here so when everybody and their mother on the mainland was complaining about high gas prices we would just say stop your crying and welcome to our world!! LOL
