Question So...how Many People Are Dreading Storage

Well.....autumn is approaching......and I am just DREADING the time when I have to store my baby. This is my first full year with my Z and I can't bare to part with it over the harsh winter months!!

And all you guys from southern and west coast states/provinces that don't see snow....MAN I ENVY YOU!!

I don't know about anyone else, but I find I'm doing much more driving in my Z as winter approaches. I make any excuse to get in her and just drive any chance I get!!! Like a wild man!!! Anyone else out there feel my pain???

Your Z is ment to be driven. It is not a ENZO.

^^Follow the advice of the guy above and shell out $600 for blizzak lm-22's and drive your damn car!

WOW.....lots of haters I see. I would obviously have no choice if I didn't have a winter beater. But because I do.....I would rather preserve my car.

Please don't hate on me just because you can't afford beaters. Just ask your mommies do buy you one........

Where was I.....maybe I wasn't clear enough. THOSE of you that store your car......are you feeling what I'm feeling?

Last year we had a very mild winter....and I didn't store it till New Years day and took it back out in early April. I'm just hoping for more mild weather.

Your usually safe till that first heavy snow fall and the first load of salt goes on the road.

F that, I live in Cleveland too and there's no freakin way I would drive my Z in the snow. Thankfully I have a Grand Cherokee as well

btw: I am dreading it, but seems we should be good here until like December (when the salt comes) through end of Feb. Three months I'll probably store and drop my insurance a little.

tommyboy i was not hating on your thread. i was just stating that i will not be storing my z. actually i don't have a winter beater becuase i live in a downtown loft and only have parking for one car, not becuase i don't have money. and in fact i don't treat my z like a $80,000 porsche like you do. it is a $30,000 car. cost about the same as a maxima. do you see people storing their maximas for the winter. maybe you are the one who is hurting in the $$$$ department to think a z is priceless and should be stored. drive the damn car. and when it rusts or breaks those of us with money can just buy another one.

I'm OBVIOUSLY not refering to people who don't store their vehicles.
That's not the point of this thread.

That could be the most ignorant post I've ever read.

Dude, it doesn't matter if you pay $5k or $100k for it - some people like to take CARE of thier investments as opposed to letting them go to hell. Do you wash your car? Wax it? Why?

What an idiotic comment - says alot about your character.

Sometime in November, we will see the first salt spread here in Vermont. Storage will be in a heated garage in the middle of nowhere just before Thanksgiving and will last until the end of March, when I will need to retrieve it after the snows end but before mud season!!!!
Yes, it will be tough. I'll take some digital pix of it sleeping and print them for my office.
Then I will drive my 4wd Chevy pickup for the winter, and get used to climbing UP into it. When I get into the Z in Spring, it will feel like my a$$ is dragging on the road for a while- but it's a great feeling!!!!!

Chill out man. No one is hating on you, they're just saying that if they are going to shell out the money they want to ge the most out of it. For some people it's a dream machine, for others, its just a nice car. If you want to store your car fine, they were just saying that its not nessesary if you dont want to.

And as far as the "you can't afford a beater comment" thats pretty immature. If these people can afford a $30,000 car, I think they can afford a beater. Don't get so offended man.

OK, how about "something they are spending their hard earned money on".

Hmm...maybe I should just let my boat sit in the lake all winter too

Default Storage?!?!?

No way I would do without the Z all Winter.

Even up here in CT there are plenty of days I can drive the Z in the winter. I don't drive it in the snow or sand/salt (if I can help it), but I still drive it all winter.

Winter is depressing enough without giving up my Z for months!

I don't think "Drive your damn car!" translates to "they were just saying that its not necessary if you don't want to" unless, of course, if you don't understand English. I'm sorry, I just assumed you did.

Well....not if they spent all their money on a $30, 000 car cowboy!!

I guess only a small few understand the intent of this thread....
