FYI, Originally I had started a thread "Door Molding, are we Doomed without it", and even sent the question to the NNA. Finally received a response. Below are my original email to them and their response.

My email to them:

I have a question reguarding the 2003 350Z. I have recently placed an order for one of these vehicles but am concerned that the length of the doors have no protection from scratches and
dents due to the lack of side molding. I noticed that one of the exterior options for this car are the "Door Edge Guards" however, from my understanding, this in not the same as side molding.

This concerns me very much as I am reluctant to purchase a $34,000 car if its prone to getting nicked, chipped, and dinged everytime I go to the grocery store or to work. If side molding is NOT a current option from nissan, do you plan for it to be in the
near future? Please respond ASAP as the dealers dont seem to have the answer either. Thanks !
