NNA just called me back as a follow-up to getting info on my behalf out of my regional office (South Central) regarding the details of my order. As far as NNA Consumer Affairs is concerned, the "tracking number" (R, S, T) is solely between the regional office and your dealership and Consumer Affairs does not have access to the tracking number data table nor can they use it as a way to assess your order status.
My very helpful rep stated that a mailing should be hitting the first batch of pre-orders shortly (end of July) and will provide your VIN and approximate delivery timeline.

I just called NNA and the lady confused me a bit. She said we're supposed to receive within a month another letter with the VIN and the production/delivery date PLUS another "packet" with more specs. I asked her twice to make sure....another packet? She didn't sound like she knew that much being as she put me on hold so that she could ask someone else in the preorder dept. Hmmmmm did anyone else hear the same?

The General Manager at my dealer told me that he is expecting VIN numbers and (some - the first "batch") of delivery dates on July 27th.
He went on to say this will work out well since many of the NNA dealer owners/management will be out on the West Coast at a sales meeting looking at the new Murano suv the week before.
