My dad has owned many Nissan's and when I started driving he was already into euro cars so that influenced me a bit and I started working on BMW's. I got into Honda's from working on civic hatchbacks and crx's, I bought a crx and started working on the engine and been always into mugen products and just admired the quality of the part. I pretty much bought all the mugen parts for all my Honda's and still as of now i'm still a big Mugen-Honda fan.
Hope that kinda answer's your question.
Much love for the Nissan Family also.

Nice that you still have it in good condition.
I had a '91 300ZX TT for about 18 months. It had been badly treated and was on its last legs. I traded it in for a '98 UK spec 200SX - like the US 240SX but in UK it is a 2.0 L single turbo. Not a Z I know but was a sweet ride. Sold that when I left the UK.
I was born into Z family too. My mom had two 280z turbos. My dad had two 50th anniversary Z. That 50th car was sweet. He actually still has one of the them in his garage, in pieces had a 86 300ZX n/a with everything in it. It was ok shape when I bought it. I repainted the whole myself with the 90 300zx pearl white paint. I was going to rebuild the engine but had to sell it because the commute into Boston in the winter was horrible. I sold it to someone in my town about 8 years ago and I still see it once a week. The engine is still going strong and the paint still looks great.

I am a refugee from the Ford camp. My last *fun* car was a Pro Street 87 Mustang GT. I had always liked the Z cars and I wanted something that had a heritage and a following similar to the Mustang. I am more than happy with my move

I know what you mean about T-tops, though! If they had those, then I would not hesitate as to which car to get next!
