Default Lookin' for a new grill

Well, looks like my first real mod's gonna be a nice grill. Anyone got any suggestions for grills that both look nice and aren't too pricy(nothing crazy like $400)?

Pics would be appreciated too.

Also, is the install hard or is it just "click in"?

I have yet to see a grill on a Z that I like. if you have to get a grill, i'd go get some chrome door trim and attach that to the current stock grill. Its probably the cheapest option and it still looks classy.

Default $79 on ebay-brushed aluminum

I've had it for about 2 years and still like it. I know the picture is not the best. There are no wavey lines. The horzontal piecebars are perfectly straight.

I ordered this, and I'm sure it would look good if it weren't bent in two places by UPS.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the company who sent this (hint: sounds like "Bille-Tech"), and how they handle it. If they blow me off, I am gonna see to it that their rep is ruined on this board. IF they are nice, I'll also post that up.

Stay tuned!

This is how the grille was shipped to my door:

Super-heavy-duty strong protective packing material... or is that just a 8mm wooden dowel?

Side view, with custom dents (cost me extra for those).

Conclusion: A retarded gorilla could have been more careful in shipping this part.

Guess how long this shipping hack-job took to get to my door?

A week? Nope!

Two weeks? Hah, try again!

Three weeks? Yeah!! And doesn't the quality in shipping show! Totally worth the wait!!

Stay tuned all:

If they screw me, I will fabricate and mass produce my own grilles, SLIGHTLY different of course

My grilles will be offered in (coincidentally) the same styles that this company makes them in, as well as the same paint options. I may even offer an option that ups the ante a bit, and offer paint matching colored grilles (redline, superblack, silverstone, pikes peak white... etc).

And oh yeah, my grilles will be half the price they are selling theirs for, to further drive their sales away.

Impatiently awaiting their response to my emails/calls...

Consider a Stillen "Street Scene" grill. Great quality and fit at $135

Do not have to remove OME grill. I highly recommend!!!!

I agree with BoostTed. I'm not a big fan of the various grills you see. But's that just my opinion -- you should go with what you like. Here's a photo of someone's grill done with the chrome door strips. The owner found them at PepBoys, about $10:

[I just installed my billet grille. Just snaps over the existing grill then tighten the 4 screws. Easy to install if you have an extra hand from a buddy that hasnt drank to much that day. I get tons of good comments on my grill. Sorry no pics yet. ben

Will the new grille, specifically the Street Scene by Stillen, cause any rise in engine coolant temperature range? It looks as though that grille will restrict air flow to the radiator by at least 30%...

For those of you w/ the Chrome door strips stuff, what exactly does it cover? Just the front of the grill?
