Dying whil idle is looks like a crack/air leak in air intake near sensor or bad oxigen sensor. Most of the other things you described are covered by Nissan TSBs and should be fixed on first request. There are TSBs texts and part numbers on this site. Do search. Some first year Zs have their problems, yes. My August 2002 car - had none!

Only a lemon if it bothers you. I have most of those problems but dont give a $hit about some streak marks on my windows that arent visible. Dont worry about it. If you love the car, drive it and enjoy. Only young once

I had the grease streak problem around 4k miles but it's now long gone (not like it ever bothered me anyway). Once in a while I'll hear a rattle on the dash (or is it the mirror?) while going over very large bumps, but that's it.
