Grille finally installed... (Pics)
Well, lets hear what ya all think. It took a while to get everything to come together, as in the parts to ship here, the prep work etc... but heres the steps leading to the final product:

the black grille looks great! how many twisties did you use. i have the same one, but in aluminum finish. i used 6.
is that the only overlay you have of bat's. not sure yet which front overlays to get. i have the reflector and back turn./reverse blacked out already from bat. looks awesome on super black z.

Thanks all, the pics don't even do it justice. IMO, it looks really clean in person. I liked it recessed better than how it would have looked just sitting in front of the stock plastic like this one:

To get that recessed-look, yes, the stock cheap lookin plasticy stuff had to go. Plus, the new grille is .0024 grams lighter, so I should drop at least a second on the 1/4...

jetpilot, can you step us through the removal of the stock grille procedure? i was thinking of removing mine as well but was afraid id mess somthing up wishing i had never began the project........

It is all one piece of plastic. However, I used a DREMEL. Much more accurate than a utility knife, IMO. You will need the hands of a surgeon for this mod. Trust me. lol
If you are patient, you can perform this mod without removing the bumper.
Where are ya from? If your close to NYC, I wouldn't mind doin a little work on the side...
And yes, it is one of those jobs where you just have to have ***** of steel to take a high speed cutoff tool to your z. Cowboy up people! Don't make me and KShep be the only ones with nice grilles... lol
