Well, lets hear what ya all think. It took a while to get everything to come together, as in the parts to ship here, the prep work etc... but heres the steps leading to the final product:

the black grille looks great! how many twisties did you use. i have the same one, but in aluminum finish. i used 6.

is that the only overlay you have of bat's. not sure yet which front overlays to get. i have the reflector and back turn./reverse blacked out already from bat. looks awesome on super black z.

Thanks all, the pics don't even do it justice. IMO, it looks really clean in person. I liked it recessed better than how it would have looked just sitting in front of the stock plastic like this one:

I think that without any grills it looks GREAT! Did you have to cut them out?

To get that recessed-look, yes, the stock cheap lookin plasticy stuff had to go. Plus, the new grille is .0024 grams lighter, so I should drop at least a second on the 1/4...

The stock grille can be cut out with a sharp utility knife..

really, how is it connected to the bumper. is it as one piece molded together? does the bumper need removed to remove the grille?

thanx,

It is all one piece of plastic. However, I used a DREMEL. Much more accurate than a utility knife, IMO. You will need the hands of a surgeon for this mod. Trust me. lol

If you are patient, you can perform this mod without removing the bumper.

Where are ya from? If your close to NYC, I wouldn't mind doin a little work on the side...

And yes, it is one of those jobs where you just have to have ***** of steel to take a high speed cutoff tool to your z. Cowboy up people! Don't make me and KShep be the only ones with nice grilles... lol
