So I go to Nissan to get my LSD fixed because I thought I had an lsd but it was just worn out real bad. 12,000 miles, ENTHUSIAST model, 03', hid's, tcs, etc. I would change it myself but waranty pays for the price of the part, so I took it in. Everything was going well, and today, I get a call back saying the diff they pulled out of my car is an open diff. wtf? I searched and took my time to check out the used 350, and I read a few places that 03' enthusiast model has LSD, so I paid my hard earned money(still paying) to pick up a model with LSD. I just have no luck with my cars. What would you do in my situation? And no, not aftermarket diff.
Darn...
Darn...

Just to confirm you do have HIDs' and cruise controll, and TCS? The 03' Enthus does come with a limited slip diff. If it's warranty work they should be replacing the diff with the correct one. Did the mechanic say if it looked like someone had gotten into the rear end before? It's possible someone swapped yours with a base model owners for a little cash and sold it to you. If it was half a$$ed work that would explain why it needed repair. What was wrong with it in the first place?
Here's the thing. When I bought the car, it was a little... iffy. I thought I got a great deal, but hey I get what I pay for.
8,000 miles, front passenger side wheel bearing went out. The dealer I bought my car from replaced it for me. When I put the car up at work, I see Nissan part number stickers on the passenger side LCA and rear tow hook. LCA bolts have wrench marks, rear subframe bolts have wrench marks, exhaust leaks from the flange near the muffler, etc. Oh yeah, and tail light wasn't lined up properly, and rear bumper paint looks like ****.

When you did burnouts, did you get 1 stripe or 2? Just asking, I've found the mechanics at the Nissan dealers I've been to aren't the "best."
As soon as I'm not having warranty work done on the car, I'm using an Infiniti dealer. Those guys have their acts together and still know the drivetrain.
