Were they as orange as Vandy's pics made them out to be, or was there any orange at all in them?

 

Pics were bad . . .There was a little orange in them. Mainly in the center seat sections where there are little square patterns with a hint of orange. The bolsters were more solid carbon color with no pattern. I have better 35mm pics from someone else’s photos I will try to scan and post.

Take a look at pic06. This is the pattern I am refering to. The indented square is where most of the orange is (if I remember correctly). It is something like one or two threads per square. Just enough to give it a shade.

It sounds like they should look pretty good on my Lemans, don't know about some of the other colors though.

 

They looked extremely good on the lemans. I hope they are the same for the silverstone. I dont think it would work on the Daytona blue or brickyard.

 

Oh boy more concerns. . . maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me. I do remember thinking the color was accented nicely. I don’t see how the orange from the paint reflected into the seat without a little help from direct color in the fabric.

 

I've scanned in a picture from the Track with cloth seats. As the carbon cloth seats have a weaved pattern, there is a subtle brown/orange. The orange is barely noticeable but only at certain angles. Overall the seats looked charcoal black. When that picture gets posted, you'll notice that the picture is over-exposed, so everything is lighter.

The seats looked dark. I don't remember any orange. If it was there it was very subtle.
