Default 350Z to be on Tuner Transformation Oct 12

I hope this isn't a repost. According to the Courtestparts website, a Z will be fitted with Nismo gear on Tuner Transformation tonight.

From their website:
------------------------------------
Tune in October 12th to the "Tuner Transformation" show on Speed Channel.
Tue, Oct 12 - 6:00pm CST
Tue, Oct 12 - 10:00pm CST
Fri, Oct 15 - 9:00am CST
Watch what happens when a 350Z owner hands over the keys for the ultimate Tuner makeover, a makeover they know nothing about. Tuner Transformation experts transform the 350Z with NISMO 350Z suspension upgrades, flywheel, and exhaust. You’ll be amazed at how much knowledge you’ll gain in such a short period of time.
--------------------------------------

Guess this kills my hopes of getting my Z on there.

They only came up with 350rwhp. Woulda been nice to see them throw the Crawford package on there and see what they could have come up with. Probably close to 400.

Yea, I just saw it (the end anyway). It sounded great. And it seemed like he had trouble keeping the wheels from spinning when he test drove it.

Sad thing is, everyone of those shows make it seem like you can just buy a kit and have someone bolt it on and your good. After reading all the FI posts for the last year or so, that seems like such a pipe dream.

But how could you not be happy driving that thing home!!

Well, they did adjust the fuel maps, timing, etc. and it looks like they had one hell of a high end shop doing the work too. Upgraded fuel rails, FMU, etc. etc. Was a lot more involved than just the bolt-on SC kit. Also seems like a waste of money and tuning without the basic bolt-ons.

I'm watching it now. I can't believe they aren't going with chrome and are going to go with black Rays.

just saw it... i don't get how the guy says he hates how the exhaust sounds, he referred to it as a popcorn popper... usually the first compliment i get after "nice car" is, "i love how the exhaust sounds"(stock)... lol

I think they did a pretty job with it by not putting a huge wing or some outrageous decals on the it. I highly doubt they stayed under their budget of 7500 though. Just Nismo exhaust and full suspension is close to 3k. That is one extremely lucky guy!

PS: i started drooling when i heard that nismo exhaust

the test guy at the end was a retard. after 3k in suspension mods they claimed to only gain .01 g on the skidpad. and i think that with 350 rwhp they definetly could've managed a sub 5 sec run. also, i didnt really like the side decals. the body guy was as a said a retard and at the least could've added a tasteful lip and sideskirts since they went over the 7.5k budget anyway.

i dont think he should have test driven the car. he is the bling guy. they should have let the first guy drive it again.

also, i wish they had a larger budget. put on a body kit or something. oh well. i enjoyed it, but it was sort of a let down.

I was not impressed with the wheels. I'm not into bling but black on Orange ? Halloween year round. For some real wheels checkout havabooz ride. That baby is set.

I didnt see it but a friend of mine told me about it...

was let down how it only went down a half a second on the 0-60 time...

they didnt do anything camber wize?

the stock Z will do a better 0-60 time then that car if it had 0degrees camber on the rear... we get about a 1/3rd of the rubber on the ground on the rear with the stock camber... that is why the Z sucks for 0-60 and 1/4miles...

but the z will suck in the twisties if it had camber like a mustang... and that is why we love the z... for the twisties and road courses... not to drag race honda's...
