It seems to me, that if there were an airbag sensor to tell if the pax seat was occupied, the front pax airbag would not have deployed either.

This is disturbing, because last year, my step-mother lost control of her town car when overcorrecting for an idiot in a mustang that nearly ran her off the interstate (well, I guess he DID run her off). She spun and broadsided a tree near daytona beach on I-95, with the tree squarely hitting the passenger door. Side bags didn't deploy there either, although she had a passenger.

MAYBE YOU CAN GET THE 1ST CONVERTABLE WITH THE BIG FAT CHECK YOUR GONNA GET FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY

Hope you are doing fine. I remember a story that I heard from a friend of mine. He knows a friend who had Mercedes S500 2000. he was doing around 120 mile/hr in a highway when a truck in front of him suddenly hit the break. Unfortunately he didn't make it. His car's cover hit the truck and easily chopped his head, none of the air bags were deployed because the front of the car wasn't hit. So , don’t take things for granted , whether you have a Ferrari or a Z . always be cautious to the surrounding . No one wants a tragic ending like that way.
