Stock tires in snow?

I drove my Z in the winter last year, if you call spinning the tires at 30mph to melt enough snow and ice in order to reach the pavement to gain enough traction to move along at 4mph. If the temperature reaches 30F or below, even if there isn't snow on the ground, the tires have significantly less traction due to the rubber compound in the stock tires. You like to fishtail during EVERY takeoff?
In the snow, all the traction control does is annoy the hell out of you with its horrendous clicky noises while the car begs for unobtainable traction.
Do yourself a favor: get blizzacks or better yet, get a beater. Do you really want to take the risk of having some moron rear-end your $30k toy?
