Default Finally Have enough for my Z..Now some ?s

Once the Z came out I absolutly fell in love with it. So after working my *** off for the last few months(Sence May) I have enough to buy a New Z outright. But I was thinking of buying a very low milage used 2004 coupe for low to mid 20's

Any advice as I shop for a used one? What should I look for?

Just really excited right now...

Lease one.
I came inches from leasing an 04 Base for 280 a month for 48 months, with $3500 down.

Put the miles on the car, and invest the rest of the money in an inflation indexed Bond fund. Then sit back and laugh when you can buy your Ferrari outright.

Find something with about 8,000 miles on it. I bought my 2003 Enthusiast with 7,500 miles on it for $26,000. It was about 3 or 4 g's less than if it was new.

get at least the enthusiast model, you will be much happier, things like HID's and TCS are nice to have.

Try looking in the private cars classified section in this forum. There are plently of people selling their Z's for the price you are willing to pay. Good luck.

I agree 100%...traction control is well worth the money. And I don't know what I would do without the HID's. They get TONS more attention at night than just regular hallogens. I'm an attention *****, so it helps haha! Either way, you can't go wrong with a Z. First thing you should do though is go to **********.com...this sight is going down the crapper.

Well None of that ever really occured to me. I mean I have just been in love with the Z sence it came out and now I have a excellent job and im ready to buy one. But I will look into some of those things. HIDs are def something I would like to have. I dont really care about traction controll Ill be drivivng my blazer in the winter and hopfully i Wont get laid off in the near future and I can afford a full size truck for the winter...but thats a ways off.

By the way sence im sure someone might ask. Im a Line Technician For Verizon.

Get at least the Enthusiast model. Lots of extras for small amount over price of Base.

I'd highly recommend spending time at the Nissan site ( http://www.nissanusa.com/0,,,00.html ) looking at the features of each model. Click on 350Z and then "features/specs".

If your going to buy used then get a good mechanic to check the car out.

With both the 05 models and winter comming you might get a really good buy on a new 04 sitting around at a dealer near you.
Check out the inventory of dealers on the Nissan site.

Default I'm with redefined...

A low mileage Z will be a good buy - there are many out there so you can get a good deal...and so far the 04s are only marginally better (if at all) than the 03s. Most of the 03-specific issues can be addressed by the dealer.

I would recommend finding a 2003 Enthusiast with 14,467 miles on it, that's been clean and taken care of well for two years, preferably in Southern California. It would probably be around 24,000.

Hey, you know what? I have one!
