I haven't seen any comparison tests with the Z yet. I really like a good comparo, no holds barred knock down drag out fight.

What I'd like to see is a S2000 vs. 350Z. DO you guys think this will ever happen? or is it too much like apples and oranges? I mean will the convertible S2000 not be counted as being in the same class? I think they are a lot alike: 2-seat japanese sports cars, 6-speed MT, 0-60 less than 6 sec, price around $33K.

I'd also like to throw in the Boxster S (but it would be priced around $55K so I am not sure how that will fly).



What else do you guys think would make a good comparo? C5 and SVT cobras are out (I think).


I remember all those great RX-7, 300ZX, Supra, GT3000 tests of old.

 

I'm sure that they will start testing the S2K with the 350Z vert., which I'm sure the S2K will win. But Z33 vs. S2K should be interesting. S2K is lighter, easier to shift, easier to toss around, great handeling, and fast. Z33 is easier to drive to and past it's limits, easier to keep in power band, the greater torque/HP makes it a slightly easier car to drive over all, but extra weight it loses a bit in handeling dept. It tends to understeer a good amount, but if you give it some juice you can drive out of it. I think that over all with Low to Med. drivers the Z33 will edge out the S2K in most anything. With very experiance Drivers, the S2K will prob. have the edge, but hey, I'm sure a test will come out soon enough.
