We had the same problem with our Volvo. We went away for 10 days and came back to a dead car. I jump started it and brought it to the dealer. The bozo service rep told me this was normal!! I looked at him like he was crazy (which he was). I asked the rep does that mean all the cars coming over on the boat from sweden have dead batteries when they arrive in the states?? He didn't know what to say!! I tracked the problem down to something in the factory alarm system. When I locked the car and the alarm set, the next day, the battery was dead. When I left the car unlocked, the battery was fine. I brought the car back and showed them what I found. They replaced an alarm module which was draining the battery and everything has been fine. Bring the car to the dealer and have them check it. You should be able to store a car for 4+ months without the battery going dead.

You can't jump a battery if there is no fluid in it. Check it and add some if needed then you might be able to jump it off. You can also disconnect your battery and connect it to the other car's battery and start it directly then reconnect yours and let the engine start charging it.

I'm confused. I thought the battery is sealed. If it's sealed, how can you add water to it?

My Z had a low battery after I returned this summer (away for 2 months). When I started it (yes it still started) the check engine light came on. Dealer just reflashed ECU and check engine light never came back.

Moral to story; after you get your battery changed, dont be surprised to have a check engine light come on.

DavesZ#3 sounds a little old school. I haven't seen a battery that you have to add water to in ages.

I've charged her with the tiny trickle charger, and it worked. She wasn't fully charged this morning, but it was enough to start her up. It's an hour drive to work, so hopefully that's plenty to fully charged her. Hope she'll start when it's time to go home.

I'll have her checked out by the dealer, just in case.

I've been away from my Z for the past couple of months, so I'll probably have the same problem when I return home for Christmas. I did last time.
