Z too common already?
I was there about 4 or 5 weeks ago. Saw a CS on the 5 heading south and a SS heading south on 710.
Followed a CS on 35 from Austin to Dallas last weekend coming up from san antonio. Beautiful!

I live right in the middle of Silicon Valley and I have never seen one on the road. I've seen 2 at a dealer nearby. The only time I ever saw one on the road was when I was in Japan, it was Silverstone. I was in Kawasaki to be exact on a vacation with my girlfriend.
I live in Los Angeles in the Glendale/Pasadena area, and in the 2 months i've owned the Z i've seen about 8 of them. The first 6 were actually the first 3 weeks I had the car I saw about 2 a week. The other 2 I saw in the past several days. The thing that sucks is someone near my house owns a CS as well (but it's an auto enthusiast I believe). It was weird seeing a Z for the first time however, because I had never seen one in motion, I was kind of awestruck... Oh, and these are not the same vehicles. ANd i've also seen 2 G35 Coupes, a blue and a silver one driving along on the 210 freeway... And that hasn't even come out yet till next week!
Z color breakdown:
2 blue
3 silver
1 silverstone
1 black
1 red

More Z's = big community = more aftermarket parts = more stories to share about one's setup!
I personally don't care if its a common car. Heck, for the price of the Z, it is quite a bargain.

Is the Z common already? No, but it depends where you live. When I owned my 99 C5, I usually didnt see another one for the first 8 months or so (inspite of the C5 being a new design in 97). Then, out of the blue, a guy about a block away got one the same style and color
S2000 -- same way... rare for about 8-9 months. Now I see one every couple days.
The way the Z is priced, its not gonna be rare... specific ones like track models and such might be, but the Z in general should be selling like hotcakes.

I live in NJ...I've only seen 1 other CS Enthusiast/base on the road...in my own town nonetheless!
That's ok...more new friends to meet and hang out with.
Every time you worry about the Z being too common, think about the aftermarket support this car is going to have 2 years from now...it will be insane.

Well here is my input.
I live in MIami. The place where Benz and BMWs with 19's roll around and porsches and vetts are as common as a focus.
If I want to see nice cars I can go to the beach (25 min drive) and see at least 1 ferrari. Last Ferrari seen F-40 10/13/02.
Total Z's on the beach = 0
Total Z's in everyday traffic = 1
Total Z's night driving =1
Total Z's during weekend driving = 0
In fact I will say this I have seen more SL 55 AMG ($180,000 sticker) then I have Z's. 7:2
No its not too common. And eventhough I hate Miami I will just add this people like and do drive nice cars here.
