Default Auto Insurance for Z (lease)

How much are you guys roughly paying for Auto insurance for a Lease Z, and with what Company?

I got a quote from Progressive and they are charging me 269.00 a month and I think that's kind of pricey.

Thanks
Sandy - Miami,Fl

Insurance for a leased Z should roughly be the same for a purchased/financed Z.

That being said, I pay $123/month thru American Express Casualty (Costco). I have 2 years left on my lease, 15000 miles/year.

Thats roughly the same quote I got through Mercury Insurance.. But I'm a 22 male with two claims on my insurance, combined totalling about $40k... So I have no room to complain...

good to hear...because I've always heard of auto insurance being much more expensive on a lease

Why should it be more expensive? Most auto leases require that you purchase gap insurance in case the car is totaled, which takes the burden off your primary insurance company. And the cost of the gap insurance premium is usually rolled into the monthly payment.

186$ from progressive, no wrecks or tickets in 5 yrs. But I am 24 and live in the Dallas area. County makes a big difference. As well as credit score. After I turn 25 (march) I expect it to go down to 100 or so.
