Default 05 350z Track...is this worth it?

simple question...
new 05 350z Track has more HP...compared to other 4 different 350z models...and more stuffs...
is it worth it if i am going to hook it up?
i meant suspensions,rims,spoilers,bodykits,intake,etc
Except the engine portion that gives u MAD HP such as turbos.
waiting for ur replies xperts

not worth it, you get more hp, but less tq. and since you are going to mod it, you don't need all the extra little things.
save your money and buy an enthusiast, it has LSD, HID, TCS and that's all that you pretty much need if you are planning on replacing parts afterwards.

No probably not worth it if you are going to mod heavily and you only have one choice on the tranny: 6spd Manual. Buy an enthusiast and spend the other $5-6K on personalizing your Z. Or even more money if you would like to.

hmmz but doesnt track better than others?
option one : track 350z + hooking up
option two : enthusiast + hooking up
doesnt track 350z has *better* engine tho...; cuz option two is hooking up from 287HP and some torque...
but option one is hooking up from 300HP and more torque isnt it?
sorry i dont no much about cars...;

Realistically, I don't think 13 extra hp is going to make a hugh difference for you. If you are going the route of forced induction then it doesn't matter . A moot point, in my opinion. The other two Items you get are what? The lightweight forged wheels, but you probably want to pick your own wheels, offset, size, tires, etc. and the Brembos, which you can add on later with better big brake packages from stoptech, etc.

Don't get brain washed by the marketing machine responsible for the Z having so many damn versions of the same car.

well i was about to ask options...

Side and Curtain Air Bags $620

Splash Guards $130

Aluminum Kick Plate $100

Aerodynamics Package $530

r these necessary? i mean anything i should include???

also u stated that Z is not for auto tranny...and i should look for something else...
how about G35 coupe for auto tranny instead of 350z auto?

I have the track model. But like some already said, you'll end up changing things to suite your taste anyho.

So I recommend the Enthusiast also. Why?:

You won't have to mess with VDC.

You'll have more torque.

You can get wheels and tires to suite your taste.

You can get probably get better brakes (which would also prob be cheaper in terms of replacement parts).

You''' have more money to get the mods you want.

I wouldn't get any of the above options except maybe the side-air bags.

The Track 350Z really isn't worth the money UNLESS...

...you care about the resale value of the car down the road. (ie a fully loaded Track will be worth more than a modded Enthusiast just because mods usually don't add any sort of value)

...you want to just get the top of the line Z and keep it at that or change very little. I'm only planning to swap in a TEIN FLEX coilover system with EDFC (in car adjustable dampening), new sways, and a new sound system. The suspension really brings out the car.

...the 05 track has variable valve exhaust cams is what they are saying. And a higher redline (7000k vs 6600k). Nobody knows how much better the new engine upgrades (if at all) will be for F/I route. I personally like the torque better than revving that high because you drive, usually, much lower than 6000k+ RPM.

However.. if you're into modding ...

The extra 6K can get you : your choice in wheels / tires & a big brake kit with money to spare! It's probably better that way since you are modding anyways. The G35c auto is the same as the 350Z auto. Just the Track model doesn't come with auto (another con for you).

That's not true suspension wise as the Z gets a lot more shock control then the G coupe, which allows for way too many weight transfer issues. Only with the recently introduced 05 sport suspension does the coupe begin to be on a equal plain, even then strickly speaking the longer wheelbase and extra weight does work against things when bringing up the "same as" factor.
