Thumbs up High Performance Driving at Infineion

I just completed the all day High performance driving cources offered by Jim Russell Driving School at Sears Point,Sonoma Ca. What a fun day it was.

We had a small class (7). There were four Boxter "S's" , one four wheel turbo, and one 911 plus my 350Z. I can tell you the Z had no trouble keepin up on the full course. We had 1 hour on lane change to teach correct steering, then one hour on a autocross style course on the turn 11 and the paved infield. The afternoon was on the 1.9 mile Nascar course and then another 20 laps on the road course. It was preaty well great focus on correct lins and breaking at high speed. I was able to hit 105 going into turn 1 and 11. What a trill. I reccomend it to anyone who has never driven and a road course. For $700 I feel like I got a great introduction to high speed driving. they give these courses twice a month and you use your own car. I realy exersized my brakes and tires. The tires got so hot it smelled like some one was taring in the area.

You got to try this when you get your car broken in. My car ran fine. Tire pressure started at 35 lbs cold and ended at 43 lbs hot in case anyone was interested. The race instructor said most of the Porche drivers were reconsidering their choices after running with the 350Z.

We really have a winner!!!!!!!

Default Race day 8 to 5

The race day lasts all day and includes lunch at a winery two miles from the track. The afternoon is the highlight. You go faster in this car than you can ever emagine. If you have never run on a full size track it at first is a little over the edge but after hanging out the car and ssing the control even at 30 MPH over the turn speed it is exilerating.
