Vehicle Safety, Campaign, & Recall Inspection
Anyone receive this in the mail.
Came from my dealer, and said the following:
"A Complimentary Safety, Campaign, and Recall Inspection Clinic for Nissan vehicles will be held, next week only, each day at Academy Nissan & Woodmen Nissan. If you owna NIssan vehicle, Factory Trained Technicians will conduct a thorough analysis of your vehicle and provide you with a written report. This service clinic is OF NO CHARGE TO YOU!"
HMMMMM, should I take my vehicles in since its free. Knowing my luck they will damage something or say something needs to be replaced such as the Pollen filter in my Maxima and charge me $69.
My Maxima is an 02, has 18,500 miles and just recently was changed with Mobil-1. I also use a K&N Air Filter. What else could they possibly say I need?
Nothing is ever free at a dealership, just seems fishy here, thats all.
<<<<<thinking it is free, only for them to actually find something wrong, and make $ off the ordeal. Thoughts?

I dunno. I'd call and ask what they will be looking at. If it's just recalls and such then I'd go for it. But if it's an overall vehicle check then I'm sure they'll find something they'll want you to replace....and if you don't they'll void your warranty.
With your year and mileage, I wouldn't be too concerned with this.
