It's a 05, white enthusiast, I traded in my 04 WRX for it. So far 200 miles on the car, I love it. Geez this 1200 mile thing is sure rough

Question though, when I turn the car off, I hear a sound like "klack klack" before the engine actually shuts off from turning the key off. It only last half a second if that, but almost sounds like a diesel turning off and is more noticable with a door open. I can't tell if it's from the engine or trans. Is this normal for the Z?

Where do you live? I also have a 05 PPW enthusiast, bought it 2 weeks ago and I have 1300 miles , After you shut the car off, you should hear rattling, this is normal. If your talking about little cling sounds that sound like your dropping a metal pellet into a tin can, this is from the heat. It's all normal Enjoy your new car, its a sexy color.

I have the same nasty noise coming from mine. Its the throw out bearing my dealer thinks, so there going to replace it.

 

All Manual cars make this noise when shutting off, even hondas.
Some are just more quiet than others.

 

The Z is a rough lil sports car with funky sounds when compared to a finer tuned car but you will learn to appreciate it eg when I am on the expressway sometimes I turn off my radio just to here it purr like a jet (people complain about that engine noise but I likey alot !!!
