Ok so if nissan doesnt change the HP on the 350z for the 07 model year. Then the 07 g35 sedan will have more HP than the 350z ??!!
Sorry but i dont see that happening the 350z will get a 07 HP boost 330+ at least.

I hope it comes out in 2009, that's when I get my bachlors and my current lease finishes with my 06 350Z. Then I can get that bad boy. All Wheel Drive 350Z, paddle shift, damn you can't go wrong. Probably a little more umph too perhpas 350HP and a solid 4.0 0-60. God, i love Nissan.
on a more serious note i knwo nissan is working on a 4 cylinder turbo for the sylvia. I can imagine them dropping the 350z name and just calling it a fairladyZ V8 or fairladyZ turbo... i also remember reading somewhere on a car forum that the next gen Z will have RWD 4 cylinder turbo for the poorer crowd (me) and a V8 awd model for the richer crowd (ya'll)

im hearing nissan is bring out a 450Z like the one that the other guy posted. 4.5 litre V8 and AWD it shares the platform of the Infiniti FX something something...but yea it supposed to be able to compete with porsches and maseraties

welcome to the forum.
a few months ago when this news was floating around it seemed likely but with the GT-R now branded as nissan i cant see 450HP+ GT-R and a high HP V8 450Z on the same car lot.
i think the next Z will get a bump to around 330HP loose a little weight and will stay a N/A V6 from either the new generation 3.5 VQ or the rumored 3.7

i know this question is always brought up but
i was reading in car and driver, or some othe rsimilar mag, at the barber shop and it had pics of the new 08 g coupe. due to come out late 07. so will this affect the z or do you thinkthe z is on its own timeframe of redesigns and new styels and what not?

BUT if it comes as the form as the G35 it will most likely happen (the 4.5 litre V8) because right now they're pretty much the same as far as performance (3.5's 300HP etc etc...) And i doubt they wouldnt go and tune up one without doing the other because their pretty much sibling cars

nissan will never put a turbo four nor will it ever put a V8 in the Z. That will just ruin the history and roots of the car. The next car will have a 3.7 V6 with around 330-350 hp N/A. All these rumors are just speculations, and as we all know when a new model comes out, there are hardly never any surprises.
