Is this bigger than the FX or smaller? And will this be maybe using the VQ25hr and the VQ35hr? Also the Murano and FX are different. The Murano is FWD and based on the Alitma/Maxima platform.

So it is based on the FM platform, just like FX is - so how come there will be much difference in size - IMHO both cars are to similar to them, and EX will definetely hurt sales of FX series - I would choose EX35 over FX35 anytime.
If I had the cash I would probably daily drive an FX35 (or even this new car). 4WD, higher off the ground, but still handles nicely and has decent power to boot. Excellent!

Just to set the record straight, the original post was copied from a Nissan Sport Magazine article on the EX Concept (only the watermark on the pics gave much indication on that). We'll have more pics and coverage on the Infiniti EX Concept, G37 Coupe and all things Nissan/Infiniti/Datsun in our upcoming Spring '07 issue!
The EX is clearly intended to slot in below the FX series and is targeted at the crossover market. Several details (engine specs, for example) are still being worked out, but you can bet fuel economy has to be one of the prime considerations/targets for this model.
There were also some comments on the opening HD truck remarks that appear to have been misinterpreted: Nissan has no intention of abandoning the light truck market. To our knowledge, development of the diesel option for a light truck/SUV application is continuing. Nissan has simply decided not to go ahead with developing a separate HD chassis for a 3/4-to-one ton vehicle. But don't be surprised if the next generation 1/2 ton Titan follows Toyota in the 'big/powerful engine in a (relatively) small truck' genre. I think the next gen Titan will be gunning for the just-released Tundra, as well as the 1/2 ton Chevy, Ford and Dodge offerings!

The small SUV market is hot right now and if the fuel economy is decent, I think it'll sell well. It definitely competes with the RDX and X3, but I like the looks of the EX better than either of those. My wife is in the market for a car based SUV and I would definitely consider the EX.
And I would rather see a M45 coupe than a G35 convertible...
