I don't see why the 370z shouldn't have a dual clutch. The dual clutch isn't an exotic transmission as WV, audi, mitsubishi, and other car companies offer it.

In europe, there are plans to place dual clutch transmissions into econobox cars because it is more fuel efficient and has better emissions than a transmission with a torque converter.

But i imagine the 370z will get the 7 speed auto that the fx has. If nissan is serious about emissions, fuel economy, and performance they will offer a dual clutch.

A DSG will be the deciding factor in my 370z purchase. I think its about time they get rid of that obnoxious torque converter. DSG's have relatively no power loss due to the dual-clutches.

Mother of all fail. What a huge letdown. Will wait for the official word though, but I hope somehow, someway, things may change....

So about the headlights. Iwas thinking if you had a black Z and tinted the headlights that they would not look to bad. (anybody want to photoshop that)

Nissan is aiming hard at better overall average of MPG, and with that comes lesser weight "being implemented into the new Z" , and a 7 speed transmission, always in the powerband homie.

http://infinitipress.eu/en/Home/G/Technical-Photos/

In Europe, the 2009 Infiniti G37 Sedans and the G37 Coupes, which is their first release of Infiniti in Europe, are being deployed with 7AT's.

They will both use the VQ37VHR.

They are also both rocking the same brakes (Sport Models).

Im also predicting that these BBK Akebonos may end up on the new Z as well in certain trims. This is simply Nissan using all similar equipment across all their models.

One things for sure, the new Z is gonna be a track-ripping rocket.
