ZZtop stated that it was "somewhere on the Nissan News website".
Even read the Nissan Media 360 Press kit. Nothing there either. So with all of the conflicting reports floating around it's all just speculation for now.

I believe it said the car will be released within their fiscal year....which ends in March of 2009. Hardly speculation.

Show me where it is annouced on the Nissan News website.
Not trying to argue so please don't take it the wrong way. But if you saw it on the Nissan News website then that would be legit.

From the link above in case you couldn't find it:

FY2008 outlook

The global sales forecast for fiscal 2008 is 3.9 million units. The main contributions to volume growth will come primarily from GOM and Russia. Nissan will launch nine all-new products during fiscal 2008: Teana, Infiniti FX, Maxima, Bakkie successor, Qashqai+2, a mini SUV, Cube, Z and Infiniti G37 Convertible.

Their '08 fiscal year ends in March. Sounds like spring time Z's to me.

As I said before... A friend is a Mater Tech at one of the dealers here in Vegas. He's already got all of his tool info for the 370Z and was originally told to expect the car in Fall of this year. I believe it was pushed back to Spring as a '10, but was originally going to be an '09 released in Fall.

That's been my theory for quite some time now. The question remains whether it will be a 2009 or 2010 year.

No way the new Z will be launched in the US before it is in Japan. The 350 was launched in Japan before the US. Same as the GT-R.

And since that article/press release says GLOBAL it doesn't specify where the new Z will launch to sales floors.
Way too much vague information.

Thanks for the link to the article.

As I recall, back in 2002 the 350Z was available in Japan only a couple of months before cars started arriving here. With the U.S. being the biggest market for the Z, I can't see them doing things any differently this time. If the car does go on sale in Japan in December, we'll easily have them by spring.

The GM of the dealership who originally ordered my 350Z in 1/02 says he has been told to expect cars in March. He was one of the few dealers at the time who sold the new car without a markup. He's a straight shooter so I do believe him....of course his info could be wrong too. Dealers rarely know more than forum members.

I guess we'll know in the next few months for sure.

The car looks great, minus the roof line. Clearly from the GT-R, except I don't think it works with the 370Z's styling.

I am hoping for 350-380bhp Nissan...look at the competition 400bhp cars. Camero, the new Mustang or a 300hp turbo would be good to hahaha
