it could be a current 350z modified chassis much like teh g35 mule that was a r35 in g35 body form and a updated 370z with newer config. Remeber design wise the body can be really hard to distinguish due to the similarities of the current gen.
They specifically said they do not want to ruin or stray from the current shape of the 350z . because its a preety timeless design when you look at it. Really hard looking at one waxed and clean slightly modded and not still be a great looking car.
My assumption is that there would be a higher package FI wise and a NA version with the current 3.7 .
They may do the a limited edition 3.8 RS AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWSnap

I think it looks alright from the sideview. But the shorter wheelbase makes it look a lot smaller. Also those head lights really are a turn off. I think that the Z33 looks a lot better But you never know when it comes out it will just grow on us kinda like the Nismo did on me. In the begining I tought the Nismo looked like ***. But now I think they look pretty damm good.

If you look at all the pics (the white mag pic, the cell phone projector pic, and the latest electrical tape front end shot), there is quite a bit of GTR in the front of the 370z. (i.e. the grill opening shape and flare of the bottom of the front fenders. Not to mention the roof and the hood creases.)

im just saying... the current z is the perfect size. any shorter would look ridiculous, at least for me.
