Hmm, just because someone prefers a Altima over a Genesis they have an Aztek in their driveway. I like the logic I have been seing on this board lately.

 

I think it has to do with you saying the genesis looks like the camry, since the camry is one of the most bland cars on the market with no personality, he is saying that you must like the aztec cause its crazy and outa wack and down right ugly but different.

 

I think it looks good for a Hyundai. Im gonna wait a year after its released before i make any decisions.I think it looks better than the girly looking 370z.The 350z is the best. My wife even think the 370z looks more like a girls car With the cute headlights.

After reading this whole thread many people here are biased. Yes hyundai isn't a great company but they are stepping their Game up. (Im currently looking for a new car and this actually might be one of my choices but im leaning more towards a used 350z.) Hyundai has actually produced a RWD coupe that is not only stylish but has the performance to back it up. This isn't a a POS Tibroun. The Genesis has been making news everywhere and i think its going to be a great car. I love nissan i own a sentra and an altima coupe and a 350z might be added to that list but i have to admit that genesis is looking good right about now it comes with a v6 that puts out 313HP with brembos and its sport tuned (27k) and a I4 200 turbo that puts out 200+ (about 20k). The interior is pretty decent.. and for the people who said "id never pay 40k for a hyundai" its 27k tops nothing near to 40k. and its not meant to go up against an eclipse, altima coupe, or anyyy FWD car door that matter its RWD.. It goes up against the G37 350-70z etc.. You guys are acting like the Porsche dudes that bashed the GTR and called it a stupid POS Nissan. Theres no reason to talk trash about a car when it hasn't been released yet and no one here has test drove one..

 

 

 

Not bad at all, resembles a RSX/G37. Love that it's rear wheel drive, has rear seats, and a nice interior. I'd consider the I4 and mod the hell out of it and still keep my 350z as my weekend toy. I'll wait and get the 2nd-3rd yr production.

 

 

Actually I was just saying he obviously has no taste and sense of beauty whatsoever and his probable ideal of it is a yellow Aztek with a 3-feet high spoiler and 30 inch chrome rimz.

Imo The thing thats irking everyone is why post it here?? This is a 370z (most don't come here for hyundai info)forum not a Hyundai one. The other vehicles forum is the place for such discussions, which btw already has a genesis thread.

 

 

Hyundai has done nothing to prove their products yet.
It takes time, it does not happen over night.
Take your own advice, and let the car release, give it some years
to see if it actually lives up to the hype.
Until then, Hyundai is still a POS.

370z. Hats off to Hyundai though for making the genesis! Good car.

 

Hyundai has done a lot to imporve their products.

1) All engineering is now done in house instead of purchasing manufacturing rights from companies like Mitsubishi.
2) brought in outside design consultants from firms like Pininfarina.
3) Increase spend on materials and alloy designs.

etc, etc.

 

370Z for sure. there is no doubt after I saw these picture.
