So....the 370z? or the Genesis Coupe?

interior looks a step up from the 350z, and a step down from the 370z. i guess its all going to depend to me on how much the track model of the genesis costs. if its going to be almost 30k, then id rather have a 370z, if the track model is around 25-26(which i dont see as being likely) then id rather have the genesis with the tuning potential.
lsd/brembo/navigation/sport tuned suspension sounds pretty nice. but not for 30k which is what im guessing will be the the pricing with maybe even some dealer gouging... since itll probably slightly on the more limited side of production.

Base $22-$23K, Premium $24-$25K, Track $26-$28K, R-Spec might be more or less than the Track... Not sure. I don't think it will be possible to spend $30K on a I4 even with every option. 370Z is probably gonna start around $33k, if I had to guess.

along with multiple websites are saying that actually the i4 is going to be starting at 19,900. im not saying that your number is wrong, just saying i am curious about what the official numbers on both cars are going to be...

It looks like a mix of an altima coupe and that little scion coupe...SC or TC...whatever..Its nice but I would never waste the money on a Hyundia. I'll drop the money on a 370 and pay $200 or $300 more a month on it anyday.
And all these modded pictures...thats hardly fair...wait until we see a 370 dropped, rims, and a kit...Youll probably sploodge everywhere.

thats funny that all ya'll talking about how cheap the car is(in terms of quality) and the hyundai name and this and that....my entire family has been with nissan since the 70's and we(especially me) have owned Z's G's 240sx's, 280zx's, 300zx's and Nissan quality is pretty sh!tty as well...my G has more rattles and shakes than a Mambo with Ricky Ricardo...my 240sx was a BAD rattle box...so, dont go bashing a company most of you know NOTHING about..the fact of the matter is this....a car company is/has turned its image around...produced a car that WILL compete against G's Z's and others for thousands less, and already has an aftermarket following with support from many companies.....and will able to be modded for probably half of what it cost to mod the VQ...this car/setup is the future and other car companies will follow(I4 turbo..good gas milage, good performance)= win win...
Oh, and don't dog the interior talking about inferior parts...the 350z interior was complete crap...it was like Hasbro's: My first Nissan interior....
I'm not defending Hyundai though...just get a little worked up sometimes

Even though Nissan is also low quality, you still see lots of older models, styles, on the road...functioning. When was the last time you saw an older Hyundai still drivable? Do you recall any of their early productions?
The scoupe, excel, sonata, elantra, accent, dynasty. Do you see older versions of these cars everyday? NO. You see older Honda's, Toyota's and Nissan's on a daily basis. So I don't think Hyundai has earned a reliable reputation just yet. Even if the car looks good, it does not make it a good car. Hyundai has a long way to go.

The L series engines (fours and sixes), VG's , VQ's, SR's, RB's rock solid! The L series was one of the few Japanese engines that earned a reputation with performance shops who would also build the Chevy V8's. It was not uncommon to see an L series engine sitting in a V8 performance machine shop. Now that is respect. Bulletproof!
I have has friends who put highly modded SR20DET's in S13's/14's (240SX) no problem. Driven them.
The transmissions and rear ends solid. The R200 and R230 Differentials, solid!
In the past all Japanese cars weren't known for their choice of materials in their chassis or electronics. But now it is a different story.
Hyundai was behind in the outset but has been surging to catch up. Now they are a quality product. But I would not have compared them to Honda, Nissan, Toyota and Mazda in the past. They were more on par with Kia, another Korean manufacturer.
Hyudai's are good cars but I would not say Nissan quality is "shtty"

Hell they only made their 1st car (with ford) in 1968 with the pony. And their 1st car for the american market in 1986 with that crappy looking excel, anyone remember that one? yuck...
Not a Hyundai hater, just not interested in em.
