My Dilemma: 370Z vs. Camaro SS
why do you say never? It is not gov owned. The people own it. Some may or not be from the US. Whats the benefits besides taxation of cars bought and sold in which hardly any are selling? Specially there "great" vehicle the Saturn? 3 months ago the dealer near me Brunswick Saturn Closed its doors....

Because the United States government won't want all car manufacturers to be foreign. Granted the U.S. will still have Ford and Chrysler (although Fiat has purchased them), but I honestly don't think the government will let GM go under. They'll continue to bail them out and eventually GM will bounce back.
Besides...What if there was no money left? How are they going to bail anyone out? Don't forget it's us people who pay for everything.
My opinion is I would pass the 370Z and the Chevy by for something used in that range.
Don't be so sure.. There was a time when all the closings you see today. Would have been unheard of in the past. EG: Colored president, woman in combat positions or even gays in the military etc? All at one time have been said to be impossible. But yet here we are.

I didn't think people still used that term.
ahaha I love how the OP says he hopes to accomplish his ring dreams this before he is 30, in another 12 years, in the same car he buys now.. so don't laugh at him please...

Id buy the camaro just bc of the chance checy wont be around. Itll actually go up in value, AND with the new emissions laws taking place in 2012, a high hp car like that prob more than likely wont be around anylonger, so who ever has them, will have a good peice to sell.
Im actually going buy a pontiac g8 GT as soon as the z is paid for. Not really for the same reasons, but kinda. I need a back seat and big trunk, polus its a hp v8.... and i really dont think they will be around very long. (and i know how to get power from that motor)

High HP car made from a combustion engine prob wont be around much longer. But brush less electric motors can bang out just as much and more HP. Just gotta get the batt juice right for them.
The G8 GXP is a better buy IMO and dealerships can't unload them already.
The new Camaro is going to take a dive just like the Challenger and GT500 already have.
Interesting observation: Prices right now on new V8 muscle cars are well above what they should be due to dealerships hoarding their stocks desperately hoping the market improves. Car sales are in the toilet right now.
Bad sales + Artificially high prices = Likely disaster soon.
I just spent the last 6 months shopping for a C6 Z06. My budget was $60k. I finally gave up and decided to get a 370Z.

to the OP: what about a Jeep SRT-8. Same engine with 400+ hp and you can fit about 5 girls comfortably. When you crash, it wount hurt as much, unless you roll it up. That may hurt.
Between 370z and Camaro SS; I'd say Camaro for the back seat needed in college years. I don't think a 370z is a car for you

As a recent college graduate, you're gonna need a ton of space to transport your stuff to and from home - especially, your laundry! Just as an FYI bc its something I tremendously struggled with...
Plus, I have seen the Camaro SS on the road three times and I almost crashed my car from how good looking it was... The 370 is nowhere near has the presence of the Camaro either... The Panties will drop if you roll up in that thing...
