the Z rips to 60 in just 4.7 ticks on its way to a quarter-mile run of 13.3 at 105.7. While not an equal to the DBS, the 370Z is speedier than the racebred 306-horse. 3.5-liter Nismo 350Z we tested in 2007, which ran 4.9 and 13.5 at 103.9

I was hoping for a higher trap speed, but I think when people get there hands on the car, they will produce better times!

The 7AT's gearing is very aggressive in the first two gears. So I would assume it would do just as good as the 6MT.

Not that I care of 0-60's, but the G37 Sedan 7AT pulled it off in 5.0 with 245 tires (as opposed to the 370Z's 275's).

comparison 350Z and 370Z according to MT magazine, not much difference
Length x width x height
167.21 x 72.86 x 51.98 in (370Z)
169.4 x 71.5 x 52.3 in (350Z)

The net weight reduction, according to Nissan, is around 88 pounds, depending on trim, although our scales indicate the 370Z with the optional Sport Package (viscous limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged Rays wheels, Bridgestone tires, Akebono brakes, SynchroRev Match, front and rear spoilers, 0.29 Cd) weighs 12 pounds more than the Nismo 350Z.
So in reality heavier than the 350 after all this hype about it being lighter.

That's OK I guess. I thought it was going to be able to beat a stock C5 in a straight line but I guess not.

Is it just me or did some people have ridiculously high standards for the new Z? This is pretty much exactly where I was expecting the 370 to be at. I'm loving the trap of nearly 106mph! I could barely squeeze out a 100.xx in my 04 and my 06 revup trapped a tad lower. Both were close to 14 sec cars. The HR I drove ran 13.6 at 102.xx. This 370Z is definitely step up..no complaints here

I honestly believe the 7 AT will be even quicker than the manual...if not the same.
