Seriously tho.. I purchase a lot of things online nowdays (cars included) easier and cheaper. Which I suspect is the reason why many now use such services.

 

If it makes you feel better for me to lie and say that the 370Z is "faster, has nicer interior, and handles much better" than so be it. But the truth is the truth I own a 07HR and just happened to drive the new Z today and for the difference in performance stock for stock was not much noticeable. The exterior of the Z34 looks like *** no matter what you tell yourself. And the interior is nicer but not by a long shot. If you have a hard on for the car then buy it. Just don’t sit there and argue back in forth. Go buy the car if you like it that much. I went to the dealer today to see if the car was worth me selling my Z for and it's not. If the car would have had noticeable differences in speed, interior looks, and handling **** I would have got one. I just thought that I would share with the rest of the members that are in limbo what my opinion was of this car. But like you said that would be up to the individual. But from the looks of all the other threads of people that have already driven the car all the opinions are the same. So go buy one and stop flaming me for providing a good right up. As far as what do mods have to do with this? A lot off the bat your going to have to spend a least 10k to make the car look better because the front, back, and rims are hideous and need to be changed and that on top of the ridiculous price. Not worth 40k.

Drove by a local Vancouver Dealer today, no 370z in Canada yet.

 

thanks for the write up..good review..i am gonna keep my HR Z for at least 4 or 5 yrs before i can afford to move onto something else..i love my Z33 tho

lol another 350z owner having to hate to make himself feel better. whatever, the 370 is superior in every way. its sexier, its faster, it handles better, it ways a bit less, it brakes a bit less, interior better and all for the same price you and i paid for our 350z. GET OVER IT AND STOP HATING. enjoy what you have and drive, dont worry about another car. you dont need to justify anything, enjoy life and enjoy your car.

I went to the dealer today and sat in the 370Z. For me it looks much better than the 350Z. Reminds me more of what a Z should be like. Everyone's opinions will vary. It seems there are more positive opinions on other Z forums though. Kind of strange.

Anyway, the best way to judge it to just go to the dealer and have a look yourself.

 

i hate the fuel and temp gauge its so out of place. otherwise i think the interior is well done. i personally like the new light shapes, but the overall structure of the car body looks a little more awkward in my opinion. the rear is larger and the front just looks so thinned out.

what do you guys think of that new transmission feature? the synchrorev system?

 

I think it looks pretty good. I like the looks of both but what wont be talked about probably until later is if Nissan keeps the same plan they did with the last iteration of the Z then most of the people that are using performance to hate or justify not liking the Z will end up in a Z34 anyways.

07+ Z33 little improvement to warrant a purchase. Styling is subjective to everyone, interior is a upgrade but not enough to purchase. If history repeats itself then many will continue to bash the Z34, until the 2012 update comes out and you could be looking 345hp and difference of +13 same as from 03-05 to the update of the 06 by the end of the Z34 life span you could be looking at close to 350hp that everyone wanted in the first place. If those updates entice the ones bashing they will still end up in a Z34 if they are as passionate about the Z as they say!!!

 

I agree and stated the same thing many months ago. Now in this terrible economy does one drop 40 large on a Z, a Vette or be frugal and bank it? I myself am torn.

 

To each his own... those with '07+ won't justify much of an upgrade, but for someone like myself ('03 Enthusiast purchased in 10/2002) it would seem like a nice upgrade. The fact that it is everything better than my '03 Enthusiast, I'll be happy to get a Base + Sport Package (for the decent vLSD and nice BBK... prob sell everything else).

Looks-wise, it takes a bit of time to grow. I don't plan to leave it that way either, so the front and rear will be personalized a little bit once parts become available. It won't be anything too dramatic since I like to keep things simple. I can't complain much about the interior, but I wouldn't be surprised if this car is just a pain to disassemble and modify like my Z33

Of course it's a better car but just because we don't like the looks of it doesn't mean we are haters. I still prefer the G35 over the G37. Does that make me a G37 hater? I actually saw the 370z in person today and I just cannot get over the fact that the headlight has a bump to it just like the celica lights.
