Default Just back from Driving the 370Z w pics

This is my feedback from driving the 370Z today. First thing I thought was that most people are right about the car. The front looks like a catfish. It would need a new bumper to make it look better. The front and rear tail lights are not my cup of tea. This Z was a Base model so the rims looked like ***. The interior is allright. The best thing about the car was the push button start and the extra space in the back. The drive was good. The tranny felt much smoother than the Z33 and the car felt a tad more responsive but not by much. I like the dash layout better on the Z33. The Fuel/Temp Gauge looks out of place and I like the amber dash on the Z33 better. The Z34 has no oil pressure gauge but a oil temp gauge which to me I think sucks. Over all I have nothing to envy. So the guys that just bought 07 and 08 models I would keep them!Go to the dealer and check the car out yourself and you will see what I mean. There was no wow factor for me.

Your 07 really does look better. How is the amber color different? Is it darker? I like the amber/red from BMW/Audi's interior a lot better. Did it seem any faster?

The amber on the Z33 is brighter and the Z34 dash lights up in blue and amber. IMO I like my dash to be one solid color. As far as it being faster it felt a tad more responsive. But not by much. In a race it would probably win by a bumper stock for stock on a HR Z33. But with a set of HFC's the HR will wipe the track with it.

I saw a Basic model (Yellow) at the local Nissan dealer today and almost went for it. It look way better in person. Maybe was the color, but I think white and yellow are the best colors for the 370.

Do it

If you like the looks in person, then there's nothing really more to it since the 370Z > 350Z in every objective area.

If he sells his Z then he would lose money. The 370 is going to cost some major funds just to make it look as good as his car now. And to be honest the new Z is not worth it. The 350 is just as fast and looks way better IMO. Why buy a car that cost almost 40k and then have to spend more money just to make it look good. When you consider exterior mods and then engine mods you’re talking 10k. That’s pretty stupid. So far people that have posted that they have seen the car and driven it have said the same thing. The new Z looks like ***. Just face it.

P.S. His 06 does look way better then the 370.

Until you run into a 370 with the same mods. Mod for mod it should be just a hair quicker like DE and HR.

350Z does look nicer but looks are subjective. 350 still looks nicer IMO. I wonder if we got any in town I'm gonna check tomorrow. I traded a MY05 s2k for a 04 STi about two years ago and from the reviews the car sounds like the perfect blend of s2k/350. I never drove a 350 until my s2k was gone but the 350 was easier to live with and a better DD although it didn't seem as much fun. Mods would change that I'm sure but the 350 was always the superior car of the two. I've driven a 04 base and several base and touring HRs. All were M/T. I wouldn't trade a HR for one but for people coming from s2ks and cars other than Vettes and Caymans it should be a good move.

The world does not revolve around your opinion or anyone else's. Again, not everyone has the same tastes as you. What's not worth it to you doesn't necessarily mean it applies to someone else. The 370Z is faster, has a nicer interior, handles better, and if it looks great to the person buying it, that's the icing on the cake.

The only part I can agree on is the fact that he would lose money by trading in his car.

And what do mods have anything to do with this?

Being 21 I surely can not afford a 370z, having only bought my Z33 a year 1/2 ago, so I will have her for at least 5+ years before I can trade it in or what ever, private sale.. but allot of people have done really nice things with their 350zs, that to most people they would say it looked way cooler then a stock 370z, which unless you have the money, you will have to wait awhile before being able to afford to do a kit or what ever to it after buying the 35k+ $ car.

An with the economy the way it is going, most people would rather save for disaster with the food and things actually needed then a new pricey car, which i think may effect its sales. I work in retail, and its horrific with how bad peoples spending is.. which is barely anything.. like yesterday this time last year and the year before we made 98k$, but instead we only did 24k. Lay offs coming.

+1 We are NOT all the same.

Just like the poster above... Just because it's bad for some, doesn't mean it's curtains for all.
