Well, after much research and test driving several cars I finally pulled the trigger. I test drove the 370Z, Evo X, 335i Coupe and the Genesis Coupe before making my decision. Even though I really liked the Genesis Coupe (my review of it here: https://my350z.com/forum/6974494-post102.html) in the end I figured the Z was just a better deal for what I want to do with the car.
What I decided on was very specific: 370Z Base, 6-spd manual, Sport Package and in white. Apparently at this time there are only 5 cars with those specs that exist in the states. Unfortunately all 5 are on the east coast, so dealer trades are out of the question. Rather than wait for something to arrive locally I decided to order my Z with the specs I wanted. I contacted every Nissan dealership in AZ and bargained prices with them. Playing the phone game can be very rewarding - I went from being quoted $500 over MSRP to invoice pricing. It wasn't easy, but playing the dealerships against each other works magic and can save you thousands. One dealership offered me $500 over invoice and to leave a $2500 deposit, which seemed unreasonably high. I ended up paying invoice and depositing $500 at a different place.
Now comes the unbearable wait of 3 months...

Yeah, it'll definitely keep me anxious during the entire wait process. In the meantime I have to return my Z back to stock and hopefully sell off the aftermarket parts. I think the anticipation will be worth the wait though.

I actually ordered the floor mats (no the trunk mat) and the illuminated door sills. I was told the splash guards won't be on there.

The intakes actually work very well. I got them mostly for the sound but the butt dyno does feel like they added a little bit of power. I listed them in the for sale section for $240 + shipping - let me know if you're interested. I would put a link here but I'm on my iPhone so I can't copy paste.
