The 370Z is a HR as well. I call it a Vtec HR.

The 370z overall is a better car obviously. But it isn't a huge change that it's worth upgrading. At least not for 07+ owners.

FWIW the C&D article I read was a base with the Sports Package, and weighed in at 3360. I haven't seen anyone weight a straight base model yet

We should get some owners of stock cars together from each gen, same amt of gallons in the tank, same scale, and weigh 'em for comparison sake

I agree with getting owners to take their cars to get them weighed. Either way a base model with sport package. Add the touring and that pushes it to probably 3450~.

really the only way to know is a sampling of bone stock cars, down to the tires, same amount of fuel (in gallons), and the same scale.

no sir, if a DE owner says the DE is superior because it produces more torque than any of the VQ motors, i would call him out too and i have because that was what DE owners were hanging on to when the Revup came out. solo has claimed that the HR was just as fast if not faster than a 3.7L.

 

The 370z hasn't proven to be faster yet. So why you keep saying it is? I don't see him being wrong. I see you being arrogant.

yes it has, C&D ran the HR at 13.7 @ 104mph while the 370 ran a 13.5 @ 106

how can a car with getter gearing, around the same weight or less and with more horsepower not be faster? its just dumb not to realize this.

next case. solo posts this in a thread where sharif posted gains on a 370z with exhaust and hfc's. Sharif, who has based lined many HR's stated that the HR's normally dyno 235whp stock on his dyno while VQ37HR dyno 250 to 255whp. read as follows.

next case: solo for some reason thinks that the 370 is a pig and weighs more than a 350z. the sports packaged 370z weighed in at that not the base model. dont try to fluff up the 370z's weight.

When has a 350z weighed more than 3350 lb? Please tell me. That is the base weight of the 370z.

The base model has been weight in at around 3250, ive even seen some listed slightly under that from their tests. google it, its not hard to find.

next case, where he embellishes the HR's performance:

NO IT DID NOT, Both Car and Driver and Road and Track ran 13.7's in the HR.
Motortrend had the HR at 13.5 103.9 vs 13.3 @ 105.7 for the 370. so one out of the three major mags actually managed to his mid 13.5's but thats like me saying the 370 ran low 13 mag times even though 13.5 seems like more of the norm.

The HR 350z has ran a 13.5 as well by one magazine. So that is not any slower or faster than a 370z. All the track times here show the 370z to be slower than the HR so far till people take it to the track. So yes the 370z hasn't shown to be any faster yet.

A vendor even said it weighed 3360 with base model sport package 370z. That is HEAVY. That is heavier than the 350z in most models. So again you are mouthing off because you are uninformed again.

15rwhp vs 10rwhp. I was close. Some show 10 some show 25 rwhp gains between cars. Depends on the dyno, setup, conditions, etc.

Laugh, who actually weighed a complete base model? I can promise you the Sport package does not add 100+ lb to the car. Maybe 25lb or so.

So how can you deny the 13.5 from the NISMO 350Z that one of the mags ran? Or all the drag times on this site from stock HR 350zs? Wow you are a douchebag.

A full exhaust will put me in the 290s easily. This has been proven by other owners. All I have are HFCs and stock exhaust. Again you are trying to mouth off.

A friend of mine has a E46 M3 and we have ran several times. We are pretty much dead even like many others in that thread have also experienced. Again you have no experience in this area as usual and are hating the HR.

 

Never said that. But Nexx has a issue with the HR it seems. And wants to deny all the facts that I laid out and others. Then he calls people HR nuthuggars when he doesn't agree. He is a tool.

Anyone can review Nexx history on this site how he attacks other members on the HR or just makes fun of the HR period in posts not talking about it. It's actually kinda funny.
