Will you buy the new Nissan 370Z?

After seeing a short video about them by Nissan online, I was originally impressed, but after looking at them in real life I was quite dissappointed. It might not have helped much that the dealership I went to had the worst color selection imaginable; they looked like a couple easter eggs or something. They had a baby blue, a yellow, and a light silver. I'm pretty sure I hate the headlights and tail lights; I read on here how someone said it looks like the cars have down syndrome and I can totally see where they are coming from. The extra power would be nice but the cars seem to resemble a z4 or something which I feel is a fairly feminine sports car. There seemed to be less room with the exception of the hatch where they'd changed the support brace which I really like on the 350's despite the annoyances they cause sometimes. And what the hell is up the random piece of swayed leather on the door panels? It looks tacky as hell. The rest of the interior is nicer though.
Overall I'm unsatisfied and will probably go with a Vette next go around, my girlfriend on the otherhand liked the 370s pretty well mentioning that she thought they were 'cute'.

I was really interested in buying one at first, but I work at a dealer and get to drive them daily, and I prefer my 350 (hr). The 370z is a really nice car, and I think the interior and the MT is a huge improvement, but the car is not as fun to drive.
It may perform better, but its like when Top Gear compared the GTR and R8. The GTR was the top performer, but the R8 ending up getting car of the year because the experience was better.
The 350 is more raw IMO with a stiffer clutch and heavier steering. The other big thing is the sound. The sound of the 3.7 is HORRIBLE.
For me, there isn't that much of a difference to justify the money.

i can't justify that. i would rather spend that more effectively elsewhere

yea for the 42k of a new nismo 370z you could get a used porsche 996 turbo
and for the 34k of a base model (sport) 370z you could get a used NSX that will rape a 370z
So I'm having trouble justifying a 370z considering the nsx is only going to go up in value as a collector and the 370 will only go down

nope, I decided after seeing several in person in different colors that I dont like the front....at all. I really like the look of the back though, its hot. The 370 interior rocks, but I can live with the 350 interior. I plan on keeping the 350 and dropping in some suspension mods and TT once I drive stock motor to death and build it. I only owe 9k on my 350...

Seems like a mod company could make a killing if they figured out a cheap way to replace those front headlights. That seems to be the #1 complaint on the 370, and it's also my complaint as well. I can't stand those front headlights, they are trying way too hard as mentioned.
Also someone mentioned the sound of the 370 being bad, and one of the most appealing things about a 350 or a G is the sound.
Dare I say the Altima coupe design team seems to have done a better job than the 370 design.

You also mentioned the Altima coupe..Not surprising..Like Eclipse's, Scion's and Civics si's their all clearly marketed toward younger drivers.

Hmmmm...
I have had my 2004 350z for about a month now, and have run into a few 370's on the road...suprisingly, the more I see them, the more I prefer the 350 style better. For me it's the headlights, I just cant get past them...they DO remind me of a Z4/Miata/Saturn SKY which is NOT a good thing. I have no doubt the interior is nicer and who wouldn't like more HP, but what is more important than how the car looks from the outside???
