Now, if they took the engine out of it, put it in a Z then I would appreciate it it more.

True but remember he has full bolt ons on his car with a tune. 370z's are putting out 306.4 WHP & 251 ft/lbs TQ on Dyno Dynamics or 321.3 WHP & 261.84 ft/lbs TQ on DynoJet. And thats just with an intake/HFC's/exhaust setup...no pullies, manifolds, cams, tune. Dont believe me check out this link..

But as for me, i have had my Z for 5 years now and i have been thinking of an upgrade. Before my options were a Evo 9MR, used Cayman S, or a E46 M3. Now that the new Z is out im gonna jump ship but i will wait for the 2010 model since rumors are going around that Nissan will throw out DI by then...

If you were looking for a major bump in power this would be a logical choice. I just cant stand the interiors of those things.

I just test drove the car today and although I will not be purchasing it, there is definitely an improvement over my '06. But are the improvements worth the price difference? As of now, not yet.

If for whatever reason I had to replace my Z and all I can afford is a $30K car, yup, I'd get a 370Z. With that said, I plan on keeping 350Z for a while. It's been good to me.

No way!
I now own my 350Z outright and feel extremely fortunate to have bought one when the 2006 350Z body style and Daytona Blue color were available. I stand with all the posts here stating that the 370Z is a "nice try" by Nissan but just doesn't quite make it. I will wait to see what comes out after the 370Z has run its course.
As to the GTR...I have seen two on the road and one at the dealership. Strictly from appearances, I think the car is way too big and simply looks unfinished. I think the design department at Nissan is going through some sort of developmental phase where they are grasping for a new look but just haven't quite hit it yet. Both the 370 and GTR are a testament to this.

It's interesting how so many of these posts are almost identical to what was being posted at 3ZC by the Z32 community when the Z33 was originally released.
My only complaint is that the 370Z isn't available in Brickyard...

In all honesty the z32 was its own car, and I wish they had continued to go with that body style, closer to lambo and further from porsche (z33). That said I believe the z33>z34 in looks, the style is far classier and cleaner. as of yet, I don’t have any motivation to move onto a z34, aside form the bump in power; which then again can easily be solved with about 6k.

nope...had a 240z before this and in 30-35 years the 350z will be just like that one...an original classic.
imo the 350 has better styling than the 370
besides that...i enjoy not having a car payment right now and i really enjoy my z....such a pleasure to drive and the 350z still turns heads
