LOL, the only car here posing a "nice try" here is the 350z against 370z. The 370Z OWNS the 350Z in every single aspect possible. Oh wait except for the "looks are subjective" trump card. IMO the Z34 looks way better than the Z33, minus the fangs. thats it. It dominates the z33 in every other way, especially in ANYTHING motorsport related

Hey guys,
Hopefully you caught some of the content we placed in past weeks. Ranging from a look back at the 350Z to our reviews and comparisons of the current 370Z.
Aside from us, you know you've talked A LOT about the new Z chassis ever since it was introduced. Now that it's hit the streets, you thinking about getting one if you haven't already? Why or why not? What else would you consider? In your opinion, who is competing best with the 370Z?
If you have one, how do you like it so far? What else did you testdrive before getting it?
If you missed it, you can find the question on our homepage along with past articles:
https://my350z.com/nissan-370z/2009-...ou-buy-one.php
To reiterate what we added to the question on the homepage: thanks for the strong response everyone. This feedback will be helpful towards, hopefully, creating better content for you enthusiasts. No matter your perspective, throw in your comments, suggestions, and opinions.

What is the point of your "comparison tests"? I know we are all biased because we are Nissan fans but seriously. It would be more fun if you actually compared these cars with all their strengths and weaknesses, not just pointing out the obvious, like the RX8 gets poor MPG. For instance, you claimed the BMW 135 did 0-60 in 5.3 while the new 370 does 4.7. They are actually neck and neck in just about all testing, and the BMW has much better torque delivery which will be helpful in daily driving. The 370 has to be wound out quite a bit more, but is very rewarding in the upper ranges. There's nothing wrong with being fair here, because the new Z really is such an amazing car it can be compared directly to anything on the market!
Thanks,
James

i would buy one if it looked like a z... it looks like a catfish with boomerang lights that pop out, wuts the point of that? nissan just looks like they were trying too hard, if they would have made some subtle changes(such as the older tt to the newer one, g35 to the g37 or even the c5 to the c6 corvette) i probably would be in the market to buy one. lets put it this way, if a girl has a beautiful body but an ugly face you would ride it but not stay with her forever haha. im sorry IMHO it doesn't flow but the performance upgrades are great. plus, i have put alot of time, effort, work and money into my car so even if i liked the looks of the 370z i would still have a tough choice to make.

Just searching for a quote like bill gates “640K ought to be enough for anybody.” -Bill Gates (1981)
Cuz its easy to say the 370z has not pulled any times faster yet its only been out 4 months. But its another thing to say its not capable.

I do what am talking about, its gonna happen....already 350z vs 370z=370z way better times AND when Nismo 370z vs nismo 350z go head to head, the 370z will own and you will remember this post, nobody was even talking about the Nismo here but since you brought it up with your inferiority complex thats growing I guess you feel like you have to defend it

Apples & oranges
You wanna run a NISMO 350Z against a stock 370Z? yeah, that's fair... NOT. Let's run stock vs. stock, mod vs. mod, NISMO vs. NISMO, alright?

I have driven every different model that that the 370Z comes in (excluding the roadster). The only option that really makes that car more exciting than my 350Z GT-R is the Rev matching feature. I love that thing. I'm still working on perfecting Heal toe and with that I have no worries.....
I love my 350Z GT-R!

370Z Response
Purchase one (370Z base manual transmission with sport package). Reason -price and its a sports car. Typically, buy new keeping cars for approx. 3/1/2 -5 years. Good bang for the buck for a 2-seat sports car.
Handling is smoother over bumps, steering is lighter and more precise (i.e. on-center tracking and cornering is improved). Engine likes to rev. Only drove it back from the dealership yesterday so will update my driving responses later on. Likely will add an oil cooler ASAP - oil temps reach 220 degrees rather quickly driving in 90 degree outside temp.
Items wishing were different:
Cubby lid needs to either retrack or open higher in order to view GPS or screen.
Glove box too small to fit owners manual, floor mats/truck mat are cheaper looking than the 350Z. Steering wheel diameter is too large for me.
Stock radio is not much better than the stock 350Z.
Front bumper cover looks fishy.
Other cars test driven:
1) 2009 Corvette, 1LT coupe -base manual trans. (No. 1 pick except for increase in price over the 2008 as well as GM financial status the 370Z.)
2) 2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP (lacks torque; engine buzzy although easily upgradable). Interior trim somewhat cheap looking.
3) 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe (v6 - auto); Auto shifting is smooth and quick. suspension is bouncy in rear over bumps. Back seeat is useless for adults (i.e most american adults will either have to bend down or they will hit the head on the ceiling). For price point, its OK.
4) Cadillac CTS - DI engine with auto. Not a sports car. Nice 4-door sedan for the price.
5) 2010 Camaro - Test car was sold so I was unable to drive one.
With the exception of the Corvette, the other cars are similarly priced.

Z4Ever
2007 350Z, Love her and plan on keeping her. I plan to upgrade the interior with higher grade materials and maybe chage the wheels otherwise, she's a keeper.

I also have a 07, I do however want the new model. I just purchased a home, financially it's not a sound decision. Hopefully in a year or two, when my current Z is paid off I can trade up. But I do like it, especially in Black.

I wouldn't go as far as to call the 370Z a fail, but it certainly looks odd to me. Like it's trying too hard to be an S30 and yet have all this curvaceous weirdness going on. Oh well. If people don't like the looks then that's what the aftermarket is for.
Personally, I think this is the Z Nissan should have made:
