I would not be surprised to see a hybrid Z. Nissan may not have an alternative except to go to a hybrid 370z in order to meet the administrations future fuel requirements. This is what obama said last month:
“The agreement we have announced today is part of a far larger effort,” Mr. Obama said Tuesday as he unveiled plans to tighten carbon emissions from US cars for the first time. As a part of the plan, average fuel economy must reach 35.5 miles per gallon by 2016.”
A hybrid Z would no doubt add additional weight (effect handling) and cost extra. The upside is that it could easily improve straight line acceleration. Having driven the honda accord v-6 hybrid, i was shocked at how quick it was off the line.

I liken this plan to one developing a hybrid Veyron.
The bottom line is all about numbers. The Z is a blip on the market share and fuel consumption radar. Nothing about the Z, its fans, its drivers or its whole culture has anything to do with fuel economy, conservation or being green. If Nissan would attempt it, it will be the biggest failure in Nissan history. A hybrid Z makes no sense other than a car show prototype just to prove they can do it.
