Default recommended upgrades

Hey guys,

I am new to the my350Z community. I bought a 2009 370 in feb then got deployed so needless to say i am not enjoying my car right now. With that i am looking for some upgrade ideas...i want to do exhaust, intake, headers(if needed) first. I am looking for that nice rumble, not anything that makes it sound like a damn go cart. Any suggestions???

Two suggestions...

1st, do a search. Since the 370 is a new car, not many aftermarket mods have been designed and produced for the car; however, if you do a search for each item you want on your car, you can find what you need.

2nd, it's your car...we can recommend what we like, but it could be completely different than what you're looking for...do you want performance over sound, or vice versa?

I'm still new to this site, and the one thing I have learned the most so far is that searching the forum and keeping open-ended questions about upgrades to myself is the best way to find what you're looking for.

since you can't drive it any ways - wait til you are back.

more parts will develop over time. don't shoot yourself in the foot.

Recommended upgrade:
Trade in your car and get a Z06 Vette.

Heard bad things about the 370 Nismo, I'd just rather have the 370z w/sport package, and leave it the way it is.

thanks guys, I wont be getting anything until i am back. I have heard alot of good stuff about greddy, and stillen. seems like stillen is first on my list. I would love to have the performance over the sound but they are pretty much equal. what can i say i want it both. i have the touring package so i think ill keep it for a while.

Welcome to the site.

This should pretty much answer your question:

Steven,

Don't listen to people who don't answer your questions. Just click the link the nice people send you on their posts. You will find some good dyno numbers that may reflect a good upgrade to your 370. Check out some youtube vids or any posted on here and hope all is well over there in the "booty."

PS... Can we just answer the question for the man who is sitting in a hut in the middle of the desert with his laptop who is not allotted the time to play on the internet and fap like all of us over here in our comfy diggs. Thanks!

I answered his question, just in a different way...and don't play the deployed card...a lot of 350z users on this site are in the military, most of us know how it is (including myself)

There have been a couple people who have taken delivery of their NISMO's and find the dealer has left the shipping spacers in the coilovers (These are big plastic blocks that keep the car from scrapping during shipping). The dealers claim they aren't responsible, they are supposed to be removed before they get them. This has happened a couple of times that I've read about and may contribute to some of the complaints about the handling. Pretty unprofessional sounding to me.

You know, now that you say that...I remember reading that thread myself.
It just goes to show how crooked dealerships are. Makes my skin shrivel when I think about dealing with them.
