besides, it's obvious that building around a VHR is greater than an HR, that's just how progress in the car industry goes.
Exactly, this can be said about any car/make/model. You take the same idea and make it better. The trend for the VQ motor has always been about progression. Although, the story for some cars say otherwise like the RX7 to RX8, but these are on different platforms. The VHR "IS" the most improved version of the VQ.
good now could we please move beyond the 350z v. 370z debate, the Cobalts are laughing at us. Frankly it's not other Z's that bother me on the roads, it's usually a G that's tailing me.
attitude FTW. Guys, just face it. The 370z is faster than an hr, and a de. PERIOD. If you happen to be a very good driver, then yes, you may beat a 370z in your HR or DE. Does that mean that your car is FASTER? NO. I dont see how some people are still arguing about this.. when the numbers have been posted, and some of the HR and DE have repeatedly been proven wrong.
it shouldn't be about HR, DE v. VHR, there are many other car makes that come after us. Hell I always give a thumbs up to every Z I see, problem is many 350z owners pretend I'm not there.
Come on guys... stop arguing. Stock for stock the cars run nearly the same times. Both on average get low 13 to mid 13 seconds in the quarter mile. A bolt on HR will most likely win though. With just highflow cats and exhaust plus a tune, it will pull on the 370z pretty well. THERE ARE PLENTY OF VIDEOS AS PROOF. but stock for stock its a driver's race. Handling is a different matter, but my hr 350 handles fine enough for me. Look at it this way.. you can get an HR Z for around 18-20k, or a 370z for 25-30k, but is it work 5-7k to go maybe a tenth of a second faster?
