Yea but our track sucks. Batman ran mid 14s in his 370z at this track. So let's try not to start anything on that. And don't forget the cars that go to the track Eliminator went too all have abnormally fast times. So I just think something is odd with that track.

A stock 370Z ran a mid 13 at your track. Remember I posted it up for you some time ago? Oh yeah, forgot, you denied it happened.

ROFL @ the San Antonio people crying about lack of track prep. Drag strips in Dallas aren't much better (DR is pretty nice, though) and we have the same shitty TX weather. You guys can always choose to drive a little more (hell, I drive 1.5 hours each way to go drag race) and go to HRP (best track in TX). That way, you don't have to constantly make excuses about how there was no track prep and how the weather sucked and blah blah. Or, you could just admit that you suck.

Oh yeah, 370Z > 350Z HR > 350Z DE in a drag race (stock for stock, equal drivers). End of discussion. I don't know how hard that concept of "evolution" is for some people to grasp.

I pulled a 13.2 on slicks and 13.5 on street tires with 4 mods (popcharger, mrev2, spacer, test pipes). No N/A 350Z around my parts, including HRs, are in the low 13 sec range. Hell, my nitrous times are faster than supercharged and turbocharged Zs. However, that doesn't mean that I'll claim DEs to be faster than HRs and nitrous to be the ultimate FI for Zs-- use your common sense.

it sux, but no one is actually crying about it, its not even that big of deal. It was more of a "mention" or an understanding amongst us that go there no big deal. talk about a case of over interpretation

yes, best was a 14.4 @ 104mph with a 2.44 60ft. i don't complain about the track as it was my 1st time out there but it was a horrible night. track officials had to stop runs constantly to dry it. i'm waiting for it to get a little warmer.....i can do 13s easily w/a better 60, just need to be able to put the power down without spinning. i went with a group of bmw's and a couple of 370s and a 370 that had already gone before had run a mid 13.5 and his best that night was a 14.1. Most if not all of the bmw's where high 12 to low 13 sec cars and where also doing 14s to high 13s. can't wait to go back

Maybe it was a case of over interpretation, but if it's not that big of a deal, why do I see so many posts about how the track sucks? Look! BaTMan 4 just quoted two San Antonio people saying their track sucks.

Most of the drag racers (new and the crappy) are quick to blame everything else but themselves for their times. I was just saying that maybe you guys should just admit that you suck and stop blaming your track. Next time I go down to San Antonio, I'll be sure to pull some low 13s for you guys. JK, but seriously...

Also, the bottom half of my last post was directed to the HR fanboys claiming that their HRs are equal to or better than VHRs in every way.

Yes and maybe the track prep was better then. Most of the time it isn't and it's terrible. Like I said, I spun through 1st and 2nd gear in my 350z and still pulled a 13.8. So get off it.

At this same track I had the fastest 01 Maxima record for a stock Maxima back in 2001-2002. So I know how to drag race. The prep at this track has gone to crap. I have been to the one in Dallas and Houston, and both are better than ours. No doubt.

No HR owner is saying their cars are better than the 370z in this thread. It is the DE owners that are trying to say that. In the past HR owners said this, but so did DE owners vs the HR when it first came out. It's just the cycle of the car.

Yes the track did suck that day...did you fail to read where i mentioned how a 370 ran 13.5s stock before and that day with CAI/hfc's his best was a 14.1@107mph. that to me is weather/track prep that day bs, but the whole group had the same issues so we just dealt with it and made the best of it. that is why i never made a thread/post about it etc....next time with better weather and decent prep i'll post up 13 sec slips

Launching a RWD is pretty different from a FWD, no?

So, even you are admitting that 370Z > 350Z DE/HR?

BTW, DE owners didn't disparage the HRs as much as the HR owners did when the VHR came out; if it happened, it wasn't for long and arguments ended rather quickly. If anything, there were more debates over the rev-ups than HRs with the early DE owners.

I thought most DE owners were actually proud to see the HR do so well.

Nope, didn't fail to read anything. I just think it's funny that you guys are constantly trying to justify your crappy times. You could just admit that the drivers had something to do with the slow times.

BTW, the difference in track prep isn't going to affect your time .6 seconds. That just proves the 370Z driver is very inconsistent and probably inexperienced. And if you thought .6 second difference was the norm, you also fall into that category.

Keep in mind that a good drag racers are not just fast, but consistent.

Also, a 13.5? That's DE 350Z territory

Exactly. I hardly remember any members trying to argue that their DEs were superior to the HRs. If anything, there were more debates over the rev-ups.

Well if I am so bad, how come I was beating a LS1 TransAm that same night at that track. He also had some mods done. I would say I was doing the good for the conditions of that night as he also was having issues.

I never denied the 370z owned the 350z DE/HR. But a modded HR can beat a stock 370z or lightly modded 370z too. They are very close in times.

I've spun through 1st and most of second and pulled 13.3-13.4 .........Didn't sfarrah run his 12.87 at a Dallas or San Antonio track. I've been to the track many times when there was 0 prep and temps were way colder than the TX boys have to worry about.....worst case it is a .2 diff from my best ET (in fact my 13.02 was in temps around 34 and the track had been closed for two weeks with heavy snow and rain completely washing the rubber off the track). If you have any skills you can cope with poor conditions and run fairly close.
